Overview

Moment.me offers the easiest way to capture and share an experience in real time. The company’s smart-matching technology is the only tool that sources content from different networks including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google+, to create multimedia albums called “moments.” Moment.me aims to bring together a complete set of digitally captured moments that make up an experience and present them in an ever-evolving collection.

The Challenge

Moment.me’s iPhone app, which launched in September 2012, had limited awareness among consumers and technology media. The hundreds of existing photo-sharing apps on the market made it difficult for any single app to differentiate itself. Moment.me’s Android app hit the market to similar challenges. Our objective was to raise awareness of Moment.me, promote its unique benefits and encourage online publications to use a feature that allowed them to embed any live moment directly on their site.

The Solution

We focused on a strategic campaign including grassroots marketing, social media, traditional media and blogger outreach in the music and sports verticals and provided support for various industry events. The campaign included:

  • Crafting Moment.me’s messaging and drafting copy for website
  • Planned and layed the groundwork for Moment.me’s social media presence
  • Organized Moment.me Ambassador Program (grassroots marketing campaign)
  • Coordinated and produced PR/marketing collateral for the TechCrunch Disrupt event

We worked directly with national and local media, bloggers and Internet publications during Moment.me’s important moments including New Year’s Eve, Presidential Inauguration, and the Super Bowl. The coverage around both the iPhone and Android apps, and use of the embed were featured in a wide variety of online portals and news sites including TechCrunch, Fox News, NBC News, San Francisco Chronicle, and AllThingsD. The overall campaign elevated media and consumer awareness about Moment.me and raised visibility for its direct embedding feature.
