Overview

Performance Horizon Group (PHG) is an enterprise software and global services company in the performance-marketing sector. The former founders of the buy.at affiliate marketing network, which AOL acquired in 2008, founded PHG in 2010. In January 2011, PHG launched its flagship product, ExactView and has been steadily growing with clients and operations all over the globe. ExactView’s tracking, analytics and management tools offer global brands and agencies a proprietary platform to increase sales and reduce costs across multiple digital media channels, including affiliate marketing and lead generation.

The Challenge

Although performance-based advertising models continue to grow and gain popularity among brands, there is still an ongoing education process required, as CMOs at global enterprises and leaders at digital agencies navigate through this transitional period in digital advertising and work to understand the true value and importance of data-driven marketing campaigns. Our objective was to help establish Performance Horizon Group’s presence in the performance-marketing technology market and position its executives as thought leaders in performance marketing, the larger Internet advertising space and business leadership/entrepreneurship.

The Solution

We planned, implemented and continue to execute on a comprehensive communications campaign where we:

  • Conducted corporate messaging audit and developed appropriate messaging/storylines
  • Pitch media for interviews and editorial coverage in key industry and business outlets
  • Pitch and arranged briefings with key industry analysts
  • Draft all written materials including press releases, web copy, bylined articles and guest blog posts 
  • Assist with supporting collateral and efforts including daily social media, article commenting, media training, award submissions and video production

The campaign to date has resulted in media coverage and contributed articles in outlets such as Forbes, Inc., iMedia Connection, Direct Marketing News, CIO.com, Adotas and Revenue Performance Magazine, and a CEO spotlight feature for Malcolm in Visibility Magazine. Our analyst relations have lead to briefings with analysts at research firms such as Forrester, Gartner, Altimeter Group and Constellation Research. Our ongoing efforts continue to increased PHG’s visibility among target audiences and position its key members as leading industry influencers and thought leaders.
